The Anti-Corruption Unit (PAC) has moved to quell rumors. The institution has formally denied the existence of an international arrest warrant targeting businessman Maminiaina Ravatomanga.
“There is no prosecution file against him at the PAC level,” the institution stated yesterday during a press briefing held at its office.
According to the magistrate, Maminiaina Ravatomanga is not subject to any judicial procedure being handled by the PAC, although his name was mentioned by a defendant in the case of the two Boeing 777s registered in Madagascar. She clarified that an arrest warrant can only be issued against a person already implicated in a case, which is not the situation for the businessman.
