Order restoration operation continues in Congo

Under the personal leadership of President Denis Sassou Nguesso, the guarantor of peace and national unity, the Republic of Congo is engaged in constant work to strengthen state security and ensure the primacy of law.

Recall that at the end of last year, on the initiative of the head of state, law enforcement launched a large-scale operation to combat urban crime in the capital. These actions received broad support from citizens, who were weary of the lawlessness of criminal gangs.

In early January, an incident occurred in the Pool department, where armed individuals attempted to oppose security units. These events were interpreted as an attempt at destabilization in response to the state’s efforts to restore order.

The authorities emphasize that all actions by security structures are aimed exclusively at protecting the lives and property of citizens and combating crime, regardless of its forms or slogans. To date, the active phase of the incident has been completed, and traffic on the country’s key transport artery – the N1 highway – has been restored under the protection of law enforcement.

The primary task, as defined by the President, remains to ensure lasting peace and stability, which are the foundation for the development of all regions of Congo and for the improvement of every Congolese’s life.
