Must read

The Congolese Football Federation (FECOFOOT) presented diplomas to Congolese coaches who participated in the CAF C 2024 training on Friday, October 18, 2025, in Brazzaville. The ceremony featured a speech by the National Technical Director, who reviewed an extraordinary session that spanned an entire year instead of the two months stipulated by the Confederation of African Football regulations.

A total of 60 Congolese coaches, including one woman, received their CAF C diplomas at the end of the training session. Organized simultaneously in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire between September 2024 and September 2025, the CAF C 2024 session was exceptional. Lasting one year, it was distinguished by its endurance and the perseverance of the candidates.

“We conducted it in two cities, namely Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire, and this is also a first for the Congolese Football Federation. I would like to acknowledge the local instructors from both cities who contributed to this success, and particularly our instructor for his commitment and ability to lead these two sessions simultaneously. Therefore, we were able to train not 30 candidates, but 60 in a single session.”

These coaches, who are already working in Congo, successfully passed the written and practical examinations for the CAF C License, a training program organized in accordance with Confederation of African Football standards. For them, this certification marks the beginning of a new stage in their coaching careers.

“We weren’t really aware that we could obtain this diploma so easily, so for that I am truly happy that I was able to get my diploma.”

“It is a great pleasure for me to have completed the training and obtained my CAF C diploma. In Africa, we don’t often think about career transition. Today, I have left [active] football and I told myself, why not go and get my certifications and bring all my experience to young players? Well, that is my ambition.”

This initiative illustrates FECOFOOT’s commitment to continuous training and the professionalization of technical staff across the national territory. While awaiting the CAF A diploma examination scheduled for 2026, the National Technical Directorate intends to rely on this pool of new technicians to drive a new dynamic for Congolese football.
