The Congolese representative, already three points behind both their upcoming opponent and Stellenbosch, must win to catch up with their rival and keep their quarter-final qualification chances alive. They await their third matchday fixture against Singuida Black Stars, scheduled for January 25, 2026.
In Group A, USM Alger got the better of San Pedro 3-2, and OC Safi surprised Djoliba AC at home (1-0). In Group B, Wydad AC (WAC) dominated Nairobi United 3-0, and Maniema Union defeated Azam 2-0. In Group D, Al Masry beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1, and Zamalek won against Zesco United 1-0.
