The Vice-President of the African Union Commission (AUC) has reaffirmed the African Union’s commitment to revitalizing multilateralism and advancing the continent’s strategic priorities on the global stage.

In a speech delivered on behalf of the AU Commission Chairperson at the fifth session of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development in Egypt, she reiterated Africa’s call for a “just, equitable, and impartial” world order based on respect for international law, universal human rights, and international humanitarian law.

In this regard, she emphasized that “international peace and security are interconnected and inseparable.” “Africa is ready to constructively engage with all partners to promote peace, security, and prosperity on the continent,” she stated.

“Achieving sustainable development requires inclusive and participatory partnerships,” she added, noting that the AU is committed to “revitalizing multilateralism and advancing Africa’s strategic priorities on the international stage.”
