Christophe de Margerie, 63, the CEO of French oil company Total, was killed when a private jet crashed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport.
“There was one registered passenger on the plane, the French national Christophe de Margerie. The three crew members were also French nationals. They all died.”
The aircraft, “according to initial reports, collided with a snowplow.”
A Falcon-50 jet crashed at Vnukovo Airport at 11:58 PM on Monday, apparently during takeoff. “There are fatalities.”
Vnukovo Airport is one of Moscow’s three international airports. Located southwest of the Russian capital, it notably has a terminal for business flights.
