Former Cameroonian star Samuel Eto’o was elected to the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football on Wednesday in Cairo. As the only candidate for the Central Africa region, the 44-year-old former striker and current president of the Cameroonian Football Federation was elected by acclamation. The Court of Arbitration for Sport had ordered the African Confederation last Friday to accept Eto’o’s candidacy for its Executive Committee. What does this election mean for him and for Cameroon?
