À quelques jours de l’élection présidentielle en République du Congo, une crise interne semble couver au sein des états-majors de campagne de deux candidats de l’opposition, Destin Gavet et Dave Mafoula Uphrem. Selon des témoignages recueillis par des journalistes, des dizaines d’animateurs, coordinateurs et techniciens recrutés pour mener la campagne affirment ne pas avoir perçu les salaires qui leur avaient été promis depuis le début de l’année.
Ces collaborateurs, qui disent avoir cru aux « nouveaux visages » de la politique congolaise, affirment aujourd’hui se sentir trompés et ignorent s’ils seront un jour payés, y compris après le scrutin.
« J’ai rejoint l’équipe en novembre dernier. Gaves venait tout juste d’annoncer sa candidature et on nous présentait comme l’équipe du “renouveau”. On nous disait : “Nous vous paierons dignement, car nous respectons le travail”. On nous promettait 300 000 francs par mois, avec des primes en fonction de notre engagement. J’y ai cru, j’ai laissé tomber mes petits boulots pour me consacrer pleinement à la campagne. Le premier mois, on m’a versé 250 000 francs — on nous a parlé de difficultés passagères, en assurant que la suite serait meilleure. Depuis janvier, plus rien. Rien du tout », affirme un animateur de 25 ans travaillant pour l’équipe de Destin Gavet, qui a requis l’anonymat.
Selon lui, l’état-major de campagne compterait actuellement une trentaine de collaborateurs permanents, voire une quarantaine.
Une jeune femme engagée dans l’équipe de campagne de
Mafoula a également fait part de son mécontentement.
« Mafoula parle beaucoup de souveraineté, du fait que le Congo doit appartenir aux Congolais. Mais il est incapable de prendre soin des siens. J’ai travaillé de décembre à février, j’appelais les électeurs, je les encourageais à venir aux meetings électoraux. On m’avait promis 200 000 francs par mois. Je n’ai pas touché un seul franc. Le chef d’équipe nous dit : “Ce sera réglé après l’élection”. Mais quelles garanties avons-nous qu’ils se souviendront de nous après le scrutin ? S’ils perdent, ils s’éparpilleront ; s’ils gagnent, ils trouveront de nouvelles personnes », écrit-elle.
Les équipes des deux candidats n’ont pas souhaité commenter ces informations rapportées par leurs collaborateurs.
